Ross McKitrick was on Global TV yesterday and gave an excellent presentation, especially in comparison to the Canadian Environment Minister, Stephane Dion.

I’ve been studying the global warming issue since 1995 and agree totally with Ross about the flawed IPCC data and worse–the IPCC executive’s politicized editing and interpretation of the data. On the other hand I am enormously relieved to see the Liberals (Stephan Dion) doing their usual tapdancing rather than actually acting on Kyoto. Canada is the only major Kyoto signatory who agreed to economic suicide. France is nuclear; Germany already met its target by shutting down Soviet era East German industry; ditto Russia; and India and China are exempt. I have a quick method to reduce Canada’s emmissons by 30%: shut down Ontario and evacuate all the population to the US who didn’t sign on. Presto! Target met!

Even better, the USA might exend a gracious offer to the Kyoto offending energy producing Western provences of Canada to escape the clutches of Ottawa and become the lastest states to join the union, thus enjoying the benefits of US style capitalism. Of course Ottawa would scream, but what else could she do.
