Thanks Steve, good idea – I think that lots of the visitors would find it helped if you put the peroration back in, because it was such an interesting encapsulation of your experience at NAS. It would be a pity of people missed it.

If so you may want to consider setting up off-site transaction logging or database mirroring. That way if there’s another crash like this you will have an up-to-date back-up of the data itself.

I’d done a big edit online, but it was only about 30%. Someone’s already sent me a cache. Actually, if I’d thought about it, I probably had a cache myself. I didn’t think about it in time.
