&quot;Bubu Pateh Jallow is the Project Manager UNEP African Regional Office in Nairobi. Before relocating to Nairobi, he was the Project Manager of Climate Change and Development Adapting by Reducing Vulnerability (CC-DARE), a Paris-based joint UNEP/UNDP programme for Sub-Saharan Africa funded by the Danish Government. Mr Jallow headed the Gambian delegations to all UNFCCC climate change negotiations from 2002to 2006. In 2000 he served as Vice President of the COP 5 Bureau of the UNFCCC. From November 2007 to September 2008 he served as the Focal Point of the Clean Development Mechanism Designated National Authority of the Gambia. He also served as a member and chairman of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group from March 2002 to March 2003 and was again elected to serve from March 2005 to September 2008 He served as the Permanent Representative of the World Meteorological Organisation in the Gambia from May 2000 to 2006. He also helped to develop the capacity of the Climate Change Teams of Rwandan, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Madagscar, Lesotho, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and The Gambia on Development of Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Mitigation Assessment and Vulnerability Assessment. He has been a member of the Pan-African Committee on START from 2002 to 2004 and a member of the Remote Sensing Society in the United Kingdom. Mr Jallow has a BSc in Meteorology from University of Reading, England; MSc in Remote Sensing, Image Processing and Applications from University of Dundee, Scotland and a postgraduate Diploma in Agro meteorology and Semi-Arid Lands from Israel.&quot;]]></description>
