Steve, speaking of crazy declamations, would really appreciate your comments on Trenberth’s upcoming talk at the AMS (via WUWT).

It’s a nauseating travesty of a scientist’s speech. You are alluded to, with typical grace : “They are also understandably (but inadvisably) reluctant to share complex data sets with non-experts that they perceive as charlatans (Hasselman 2010).”

Dear Steve et al, I am stunned that 2010 is declared tied for hottest year ever on recordwith 2005, incredible shrinking arctic sea ice and the earth just hot all over! Please can anyone tell me if these pronouncements from NOAH and NASA and others as reported by Accuweather’s Bret Anderson in a very recent post on the matter are true or bulloney? I for one can not believe this at all, locally here in the NYS region, the summer was delightful, with a two week heat wave , in the summer, that was notable.
