May we know the titles of these presentations?
I see that you will have a nicely timed press release to deal with:

BTW, is that typical, to issue a press release when an ‘important’ paper is submitted? I’d think you’d wait until a paper was accepted for publication before presenting the results.
How does this compare, for instance, to what was said by M&M while they were being stonewalled by Nature?
Thanks for the link John – I hadn’t noticed that.
Interesting, I suspect Mann provided a copy of his source code and allowed someone else to replicate the study to keep the heat off. This release of source code is interesting – although I notice they have opted to “simplify” (i.e. change a bit!) a few things – also they only tackle a few of Steve’s observations (score card time again?) and, critically, they generally address the issues one at a time, rather than assessing the net effect of all of the changes. Also the continued reliance on RE rather than R-squared is a little conspicuous.
There appears to be no information regarding the error bars either.
Interesting times ahead I suspect!
