I apologize for the interruption. The blog hit its storage maximum and it took a while to diagnose that this was causing the problem . There were then problems restoring which I won’t elaborate now, all of which was exacerbated by slow turn times from the hosting company. Some comments may not have survived the restore and, if so, I apologize.

Steve:
Thanks for the update. I was begining to worry the site had been hacked by those who could not stand the heat of examination.
re #2
I blame the Real Climate blog. If it wasn’t for those people driving traffic to CA we wouldn’t be constantly hitting our disk space limits.
I might add that John A. had warned me that disk max was approaching in advance and this would cause problems; I had started inquiries about increasing disk space but didn’t finish it while I was travelling.
(Raises hand shyly)
I was the proverbial straw. I made a quick post when I got home that night, nothing big, put as soon as I hit submit things started to look yucky, and I got a string of database error comments instead of the normal screen.
I said “eek” rather meekly.

It wasn’t you ET. It was the disk space thing.

Maybe there is one poster who could be blamed…
Climateaudit was not available for at least six hours today. Is there an explanation for this problem? I am sure that a number of lurkers were disappointed.
Not expected after the warmest (or 2nd warmest) year of the last 100 years. Anthropogenically induced climate change manifests itself in unusual ways… this event should be observable in the BCP (White) record sometime over the next decade.
Re: #8
I blame global warming.
Webserve.ca had the webserver down for nearly 9 hours. Thanks for telling us in advance guys!
