Wahl and Amman code is designed for Unix. I’ve done the tweaks for Windows, doing tweaks for both the masterfile (for their base case) and for the file of directories. There might be some simpler way of doing the tweaks, but this version doesn’t crash on my machine. This should transport OK to other machines. I presume that many users (like me) use Windows. So here you go. Now I’m seeing what it does. Windows Wahl and Amman Master Windows Input Parameters

I downloaded the code, but I’ve not programmed in R, so is there a good place to go on-line to read up on it? Likewise what program does it take to Run the actual code and is it freely available on-line?
Steve: Go to http://www.r-project.org and they have download instructions. It’s free and really good. I’ll try to put up a link. There are some download manuals. R is very matrix and vector structured so it’s really good for this type of calculation. For the nuts and bolts of the calculations, I like the structure of my code better than Ammann’s, but they have some good features for organizing data.
